my currently-reading shelf:
|I saw this book advertised on Mills and Boon Facebook and Twitter and I loved how quirky it is. I was surprised to receive this through the post so I couldn't wait to open the pages and read it. |
Have You Ever:
Opened your mouth and heard your mother come out?
wondered whether a bunch of flowers and breakfast in bed once a year really makes up for those 37 hours your mum spent in St Agnes Maternity Ward?
Voiced a heartfelt opinion on the weather?
If so, the Mills & Boon Modern Girl's Guide to Turning into Your Mother is for you: a guide to the joys of motherhood - with a feminist twist.
Wow when I first look at the cover of the book its so funny and quirky. I love how it's small and you can carrying it around or leave it on a coffee table. I always think "Am I turning into my mother?"
As you can see the below some of the pages what jumped out to me, while I read out loud the pages to my partner we was both laughing out loud the things it said in the book like "Doris reckons she has ten minutes before they realise that the Super Fun Apple Game is just a scheme to shut them up, but she's going to savour every blissful silent second".
It makes you think why does your mum make up these games and also buy you consoles is it to make us happy or for her to have some quiet time and Zzz?
It worth the read as it brighten up my day and made me laugh out loud.
As Mothers Day is today this book is suitable for the occasion you purchase it yourself from the following places
Thanks for reading x
